About the Role
Join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality as a Maintenance Technician in Sandton! We’re seeking an experienced professional to ensure our property remains beautifully maintained, safe, and fully operational at all times, delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of our hospitality team, you’ll be responsible for conducting daily maintenance checks, carrying out preventative maintenance schedules, and responding to urgent repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily maintenance checks across the hotel
- Carry out preventative maintenance schedules and respond to urgent repairs
- Attend to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general daily maintenance tasks
- Maintain all equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order
- Oversee contractors and service providers when required
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
- Support the hotel team with any facility-related needs
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventory levels
- Be able to call suppliers to enquire about availability on tools, equipment etc
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Handyman (hospitality experience essential)
- Strong skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Should be able to use a computer (semi-skilled)
- Physically fit and able to perform hands-on tasks
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work without constant supervision
