About the Role
Meridian Wine Merchants is seeking a passionate and results-driven Sales Consultant to join our team in Sandton, Gauteng. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively execute call procedures, in accordance with the SOP on pre, during and post call procedures.
- Execute sales levers at outlet, in accordance with the SOP according to customer call procedure.
- Collect, capture, and maintain accuracy of all wines listed on all wine lists in your sales area as per the wine list data base SOP.
- Manage stock allocation, by managing the stock allocation as per RSM requirements and stock allocation report.
- Log all calls and capturing interaction with customers on the handheld device as per SOP and RSM requirements.
- Carry out new product introduction, vintage changes, and upliftment procedure as per SOP.
- Conduct client trade visits to be done as per the RSMs requirements and according to SOP.
- Deliver customer satisfaction by call cycle management.
- Effectively plan and prioritize, demonstrate abilities to manage competing demands.
- Assist new customers in opening accounts, as per SOP on new accounts.
- Record and promptly act upon customers complaints, queries and requests and feedback accordingly as per Communication SOP and contact grid.
- Identify training needs of the customer and execute according to a training plan.
- Understand the sales strategy as well as your personal sales target by customer and brand and deliver the result.
- Adhere to company dress code (smart casual) as per SOP.
- Manage and take care of company assets including car, laptop, and handheld devices as per SOP.
- Submit all expense reports on time as per SOP.
Requirements
- Diploma relating to Sales, Marketing, Hospitality management or Food and Beverage management.
- Liquor Industry and wine knowledge.
- Selling, Coaching, and Negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- CWA Certificate Wine Course.
