About the Role

As a Senior Instrument Mechanic with our company, you will be responsible for performing all artisan functions related to petrochemical plant analyser instrumentation and control system maintenance, operations support, and fault finding. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality results, maintain a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all artisan functions related to petrochemical plant analyser instrumentation and control system maintenance
• Provide operations support and fault finding for on-line plant (liquid and gas) analysers, including Gas Chromatographs, UV, Infrared, Gas detectors and TOC Shelter systems
• Maintain water analysers and gas monitors
• Perform sample systems maintenance on all relevant analyzers
• Update and maintain analyser specification sheets, information systems, drawings, and spares
• Provide software maintenance for all analyzers
• Ensure full compliance to Sasol task risk assessments, work instructions, and working procedures
• Develop and implement effective problem-solving and defect reporting processes

Requirements

• GR 12 Certificate with Maths, Science, and English literacy
• Instrument trade test certificate/Red Seal Certificate
• Drivers license (code 08)
• Minimum 1-5 years experience as a qualified Instrumentation artisan
