About the Role
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships with them, and driving sales growth through effective negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in account management, sales, or a related role, as well as a solid understanding of the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key clients to drive sales growth and revenue
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and negotiation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform sales strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
- Utilize CRM systems and reporting tools to track client interactions and sales performance
Requirements
- Grade 12 Degree in Business Management, Sales, or Marketing
- Additional qualifications such as PMD or MAP certificate (advantageous)
- 35 years experience in Account Management, Sales, or a related role
- Solid understanding of the mining industry and technical sales
- Experience with CRM systems and reporting tools
- Strong negotiation and presentation capabilities
- Proficient in report writing and business proposals
