About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Technician to join our team in Somerset West. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality. Your experience in managing ISO and compliance standards within a manufacturing plant, as well as your knowledge of 5S Lean Manufacturing principles, is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement ISO and compliance standards within the plant
- Conduct supplier and materials quality control, ensuring that all goods meet our quality standards
- Implement change control management processes, including calibration and maintenance of equipment
- Train staff on quality procedures and provide non-conformance corrective action as needed
- Work closely with production teams to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest standards
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electronics or LC Electrical Engineering field
- 2-3 years experience in quality control of work in progress and final goods
- Proven experience in change control management, supplier and materials quality control, quality document control
- Excellent report writing skills, with ability to communicate effectively with staff
