About the Role
We are seeking an energetic couple to join our luxury safari lodge in a remote area of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve as Assistant Management Couple. As a hands-on team, you will be responsible for covering multiple departments and ensuring the highest standards for our repeat guests. Key Responsibilities
- Run the lodge when managers are on leave
- Support lodge management and GMs with light admin tasks
- Provide guest hosting and lock up duty on roster
- Conduct room checks, prepare guests for special touches, and maintain standards control
- Manage staff, including training and oversight
- Maintain central stores stocktakes and ordering (with chefs)
- Support menu planning and kitchen coordination
- Oversee lodge and property maintenance and upkeep
- Participate in two game drives per day (rotation basis when lodge manager is on site)
Requirements
- Her: Full-time Front of House role with minimum 4-star lodge experience in FOH or lodge operations
- Strong admin, planning, and organisational skills highly beneficial
- Confident team leader, flexible, and willing to handle a wide scope of duties
- Strong guest interaction and hosting ability
Qualifications
- Her: FGASA NQF2, FGASA Lead Trails Guide, FGASA ARH First Aid Level 1, PRDP (or equivalent)
- His: Valid guiding qualifications and compliance (see below)
Salary & Benefits
- R30,000 gross (slightly negotiable for strong candidates)
- R3,000 food allowance (not paid in cash)
- 50% Discovery medical aid contribution and provident fund contribution after probation
