About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our luxury safari lodge in the Eastern Cape, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in maintaining high culinary standards and supporting our senior chefs in providing outstanding meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining a designated kitchen section
- Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes with attention to detail
- Ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation standards
- Assisting with daily mise en place and service preparation
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards within the kitchen
- Monitoring stock levels and minimising wastage
- Supporting the senior chefs with daily kitchen operations
- Assisting with training and guiding junior kitchen staff where required
- Ensuring smooth and efficient service during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie within a luxury lodge, hotel, or restaurant environment
- Passion for food and willingness to learn and grow
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Team-player mentality with a positive attitude
