About the Role
Compass Medical Waste Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst / Route Planner to join our team. This dual-role position combines analytical expertise with operational planning to support the distribution team, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data to support business decision-making
- Transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive performance
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to improve operational efficiency
- Prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports for management
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily transport routes
- Ensure cost-effective, timely, and efficient service delivery
- Optimise routes using mapping and routing software
- Allocate vehicles and drivers based on operational needs
- Monitor route performance and implement improvements
- Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and customers to resolve issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administration, route planning, or data analyst role
- Strong computer literacy
- Good understanding of:
- Maps and geographic systems
- Tracking programmes
- Route planning applications
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fast learner with the ability to think outside the box
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
