About the Role
As an Electrical Supervisor at Macrocomm, you will be responsible for overseeing the site water and smart metering operations, ensuring operational efficiencies, managing people, maintaining project timelines, and liaising with clients. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering the project implementation based on standard project methodology and best practice.
- Managing delivery of jobs to ensure safety standards are met.
- Delivering safety training on site.
- Ensuring OSHA compliance and responding to emergency situations.
- Project budget management and compliance.
- Customer liaison and management.
- Preparation of routine reports and cost analysis.
- Supervising, training, instructing, and motivating employees.
- Planning, directing, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing the work of assigned field teams in scattered locations engaged in electricity meters and/or water devices maintenance, repair, installation, construction, and vehicle maintenance.
- Processing and resolving employee grievances.
- Reviewing, approving, preparing requisitions for necessary equipment, material, and supplies.
- Overseeing stock management as available resources for the site/project.
- Completing and maintaining a variety of records and reports including time and materials records, work reports, and cost records.
- Managing relationships and key deliverables with all service providers, stakeholders, and contractors related to the project.
Requirements
- A degree in Electric Engineering or relevant field.
- 5 years of experience (including smart metering) in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of functions and installation of electrical equipment used in generators, transformers, breakers, motors, pumps, and related control systems and water meters.
- Understanding of the geography of the District, including location of pump stations, major utility systems, water production, distribution, and storage systems, and wastewater facilities.
Qualifications
- Formal education in Electric Engineering or relevant field.
