About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Millwright or Maintenance Technician to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on production and processing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production and processing equipment
- Diagnose, fault-find, and repair breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Conduct preventative and planned maintenance activities
- Work on motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, bearings, and drive systems
- Perform basic electrical fault-finding on panels, motors, and control systems
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams
Requirements
- Millwright Red Seal OR Electrician Red Seal (mandatory)
- Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in FMCG, processing, manufacturing, or heavy industry advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands
- English and Afrikaans proficiency required
