About the Role
Nelson Mandela University is seeking an Occupational Health Practitioner to provide comprehensive occupational health and wellness services to all employees of the University, in compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and implement annual medical surveillance programmes for the institution.
• Management of Injuries on Duty and Occupational Health Risk Assessments.
• Assist with planning and execution of Health and Wellness interventions.
• Plan and implement Primary Health Care Services.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Maintain sound working relations with stakeholders.
• Ensure the Governance, Risk Management & Compliance of all processes and procedures of the unit.
Requirements
• A relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing Science
• Occupational Health Diploma/ Certificate
• Minimum 3- 5 years of relevant nursing experience, of which 2 years should be in an Occupational Health environment
• Dispensing License for Health Professionals
• Certificates in Audiometry and Spirometry
• HIV Counselling and Testing
• Vision screening certificate will be advantage
• Valid and unendorsed Code EB Drivers’ License
