Inbound DMC & Safari Company based in Constantia, Cape Town is looking for a Trade Partner Travel Coordinator , this is a decision-making, relationship-owning , department-shaping role at the heart of their trade partner engagement strategy. If you’re a self-starter with deep East and Southern Africa product knowledge, a background in Destination Management , and the confidence to operate autonomously we want to hear from you. This is a critical pillar in their trade partner engagement , and the suitable candidate will help conceptualise and build trade partnerships. Duties: Lead trade partner engagement independently making decisions on the fly without needing to be managed Conceptualise and help set up our FAM department structure from the ground up Manage upward effectively to the Sales Team and Head of Department Build and deliver tailored itineraries that showcase our camps and 3rd party logistics with authority Act as the go-to expert for agents advising confidently on camp portfolio, routing, and supplier logistics Own end-to-end booking coordination for trade partners from first enquiry to flawless departure Craft accurate, compelling quotes with a focus on upselling experiences that delight clients Negotiate partner rates in coordination with the Product Manager and Sales Team Maintain meticulous booking files and ensure every logistic is perfectly executed Requirements: Matric Travel & Tourism / Hospitality qualification (advantageous) TourPlan or similar booking system Google Suite proficient Minimum 3 years in the luxury inbound travel industry EA (Destination Management) background essential; Southern Africa experience a strong plus Proven experience building itineraries and advising trade partners with confidence and depth A genuine self-starter TP (Tour Producer/Operator) experience advantageous Deep product knowledge of East & Southern Africa, especially Tanzania and Kenya Comfortable managing up — you can communicate clearly and assertively with senior stakeholders Calm under pressure, detail-obsessed, and a true team player who also leads when needed Exceptional English communication; additional European languages a bonus You’ve travelled Africa — personally or professionally — and it shows
