Job Description

A well-established organisation operating within the FMCG, warehousing, and export environment is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for an individual who is hands-on, enjoys full accounting responsibility, and thrives in a fast-paced operational setting. Candidates with experience in FMCG, warehousing, or exports will be highly advantageous, but the company remains open to strong accounting profiles with solid technical foundations. Key Responsibilities Full accounting function across the business Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end processes Manage daily accounting operations and reconciliations Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-related activities Assist with compliance, audit, and governance requirements Provide financial insights to support effective decision-making Job Experience and Skills Required Education: BCom Accounting Experience: SAICA articles preferred 2 years post-article experience Industry Exposure: FMCG, warehousing, or export experience ideal Strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to handle a full accounting function Apply now!

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: General Finance Duties: Manage the full processing of day-to-day transactions and payments for smaller entities Prepare journals and complete monthly reconciliations Update trial balance accounts in line with IFRS Identify financial risks and ensure internal compliance Contribute to performance management and continuous improvement initiatives Reporting: Compile monthly, quarterly, forecast, and year-end reporting packs on SAP Manage inter-company confirmations Prepare annual financial statements Support reporting requirements across multiple companies Budgeting & Forecasting: Review cost allocations Prepare budgets and forecasts for smaller entities Manage cash flow reporting to treasury Projects: Administer and maintain project financials, including budget control Assist project managers with financial oversight Provide input for reporting, tax disclosures, and forecasting Compliance: Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and relevant ISO standards across SHE, environmental, quality, and energy frameworks Requirements: BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification Minimum 3 years experience in a financial/accounting environment Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4Hana advantageous) Independent, self-driven work approach Analytical and problem-solving abilities Deadline-driven with strong planning and administrative skills Innovative, strategic thinker
