About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Scheduler to join our team in Stellenbosch. With a tertiary qualification in Logistics, you will be responsible for executing on contract terms and conditions, negotiating rates with transporters, and overseeing stock control and quality control. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure will be essential in building strong relationships with clients, transporters, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute on contract terms and conditions
- Negotiate rates with transporters
- Perform daily administration functions, including feed all load data into computer database
- Reconcile PODs and loading weights
- Collect and track PODs
- Weekly planning of truck movements and stock delivery
- Handle client, transport, and supplier-related queries
- Respond to after-hours contact with all relevant parties
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics (advantageous)
- At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in a similar position
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Well-versed in e-mail etiquette and MS Outlook with good writing skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Analytical ability
- Good attention to detail
