About the Role

Hoseki Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the efficient operation and profitability of our establishment, as well as In-Room Dining and the Pool Terrace at the Lodges & Spa. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager Head Chef to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of full portfolio
  • Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
  • Engage efficiently and accurately with guests’ needs and complaints
  • Work alongside Sommelier compiling wine & beverage list and recommending wine to guests
  • Ensure wine lists in rooms are updated
  • Staff recruitment & effective management (including rosters overtime)
  • Manage stock purchasing, managing stock budget, and flow
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Preferably a tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
  • 2-3 years previous Restaurant Manager experience in 5* or luxury establishments
  • Wine certification course or similar experience alignment
  • Previous Gourmet Guide and Eat Out aligned fine dining experience (preferential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
  • Excellent food and wine knowledge
  • High stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Reliable, flexible, adaptable & self-disciplined
