Core Criteria:

Guide:

  • FGASA qualifications 
  • Valid PDP driver’s license
  • First Aid certification
  • Firearm competency (preferred)
  • Strong guest engagement and interpretive guiding skills
  • Experience in Big 5 reserve guiding

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Conduct guided game drives and bush walks
  • Ensure guest safety and deliver exceptional safari experiences
  • Maintain vehicles, equipment, and compliance standards
  • Share conservation knowledge and enhance guest learning

Front of House:

  • Previous lodge or hospitality experience (luxury lodge background preferred)
  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy (reservations systems advantageous)
  • Ability to manage checkins, hosting, and guest satisfaction seamlessly

Candidate Requirements:

  • Oversee guest arrivals, checkins, and departures
  • Host guests with professionalism and warmth
  • Coordinate with lodge departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Handle reservations, billing, and guest queries
  • Uphold lodge standards and contribute to memorable guest stays

Combined salary: R17,000 – R25,000 (depending on qualifications & experience)
Accommodation and meals included
Work cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off
