Job Description
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 10+ years’ HR Generalist experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Professional registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) will be advantageous.
- Proven experience managing Sage VIP Payroll and Premier HR.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices.
- Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent report-writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience within the Civil Engineering, Consulting Engineering, or Construction environment will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities:
- Human Resources Leadership
- Lead and manage the full HR function across the organisation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all labour legislation and statutory requirements.
- Drive talent management, skills development, succession planning, and organisational development initiatives.
- Manage Employment Equity, Skills Development, BBBEE HR initiatives, and Department of Labour compliance.
- Oversee performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage all Industrial Relations matters, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Provide strategic HR advice and guidance to Directors and senior management.
- Manage the payroll function and HR reporting dashboards.
- Coordinate annual salary benchmarking and remuneration reviews.
- Lead internal communications and employee wellness initiatives.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee facilities management across multiple branches.
- Manage office maintenance, refurbishments, and service providers.
- Coordinate supplier database applications and facilities budgets.
- Assist with corporate marketing initiatives and company social events.
- Prepare monthly reports and annual departmental budgets.
