Job Description

  • Security advice to clients;
  • Threat and Risk assessment;
  • Client liaison and professional client relationship;
  • Manpower Management, equipment Management and rostering;
  • Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports;
  • Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints;
  • Ensure that contractual requirements are met at all time;
  • Ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code;
  • Initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings;
  • Health & Safety Management;
  • Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved;
  • Ensuring that all companies SOP’s are followed;
  • Ensure training takes place as and when required;
  • After hours’ visits and assisting with shift changes as a standby manager;
  • Must be able to attend meetings and take calls to assist with matters of urgency even on rest days;
  • Incident and investigation management; Reporting and mitigation;
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of good security practice, covering the physical and logical aspects of information products, systems, integrity and confidentiality;
  • Willing to work split shift;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification;
  • PSIRA certification – Grade A;
  • Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position;
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques of risk management, business impact analysis and counter measures
  • Knowledge of tools or systems which provides access security control;
  • Must have confidence in dealing with the public;
  • SAPS and or SANDF training will be advantageous;
  • Excellent written &verbal communication skills;
  • Bilingual (English and any other South African Language);
  • Computer literate and knowledge of MS office;
  • The ability to communicate and present to all levels and work under pressure;
  • Willing to undergo polygraph test;
  • Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;
  • Driver’s licence and own reliable transport;
