Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse data to identify trends and inform decision-making
  • Support pricing, product development, and profitability analysis
  • Develop actuarial models for forecasting and risk assessment
  • Assist with statutory reporting, budgeting, and ORSA processes
  • Assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Prepare reports and present insights to stakeholders

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Actuarial Science (SAQA-accredited)
  • Progress toward ASSA exams (A-series minimum)

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in life insurance financial reporting
  • Exposure to pricing, reserving, modelling, or risk management
  • Experience supporting actuarial or strategic decisions

Technical Skills

  • Strong statistical and analytical capability
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 / Solvency II (or equivalent)
  • Experience with actuarial modelling and data analysis tools
  • Programming / data analytics skills
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar (advantageous)
