About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Field Guide for a luxury safari lodge based in Touws River. This live-in position offers an exciting opportunity for a nature-driven individual to deliver exceptional guest safari experiences in a high-end wilderness environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct guided game drives and bush walks (where applicable)
• Deliver engaging and informative wildlife interpretation and guest experiences
• Ensure guest safety and adherence to all conservation protocols
• Maintain safari vehicles, equipment, and operational readiness
• Share knowledge of fauna, flora, and ecosystems with guests
• Provide exceptional guest interaction and personalised safari experiences
• Assist with lodge operations when required

Requirements

• FGASA qualification (or equivalent) essential
• Valid PDP and driver’s licence
• First Aid certification
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills
• Passion for conservation, wildlife, and hospitality
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings
• Previous guiding experience in a luxury lodge environment advantageous
