About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician / Supervisor to join our team in Tzaneen, who will be responsible for overseeing installation activities, supervising technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians, artisans and assistants on site
- Execute installation activities according to approved drawings
- Ensure correct routing and termination of cables
- Conduct inspections on instrumentation installations
- Verify loop checks and continuity tests
- Assist with calibration and commissioning support activities
- Monitor workmanship quality and compliance
- Identify and resolve technical installation problems
- Coordinate daily work execution with the Site Manager
- Ensure tools and test equipment are properly used and maintained
- Enforce safety procedures and housekeeping standards
- Record completed work and submit progress updates
Requirements
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Process Instrumentation or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years experience in power plant or industrial C&I environment
- Ability to interpret loop drawings and schematics
- Experience with DCS systems and field instrumentation
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
- Cable glanding and termination
