About the Role

The Operations Manager (Mining Safety Technology & Collision Prevention Systems) is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of safety technology systems in our mining operations. This includes ensuring compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirements, managing digital lamproom management systems, and implementing collision prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and implement mining safety technology systems
• Ensure compliance with MHSA requirements and DMR regulations
• Maintain and upgrade CAN-bus systems and proximity detection technology
• Develop and enforce operational procedures for underground and surface mining environments
• Lead a team of technical staff to achieve safety goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and engagement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience within an operational or technical management role
• Previous experience within mining, industrial technology, or mining safety systems environments is advantageous
• Knowledge of mining operations, collision prevention systems, and proximity detection technology
