About the Role
The Site Manager will oversee the overall management and coordination of site activities for a power plant or industrial C&I environment, ensuring compliance with Eskom standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management and coordination of site activities
- Supervision of C&I installation and electrical activities
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment and material requirements
- Review and interpret technical drawings and loop diagrams
- Liaise with client representatives, engineers and subcontractors
- Monitor project schedules and productivity
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure implementation of safety controls
- Verify inspection and test records before submission
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: B Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in power plant or industrial C&I environment
- Required Knowledge and Competencies:
- Interpretation of schematic and loop drawings
- Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Knowledge of standalone controllers and recorders
- Understanding of industrial bus protocols
