About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our manufacturing team in ensuring optimal plant performance and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing technical specifications, leading projects, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the manufacturing engineers/process specialists in defining technical specifications for new equipment and alterations on existing equipment and facilities.
- Lead project launches and production transfers.
- Coordinate both repair and preventative maintenance requirements for all equipment in the plant.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by proposing and implementing actions for productivity, efficiency, and quality improvement.
- Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facility standards.
- Define and monitor quality, cost, and delivery objectives given to external companies.
- Manage spare parts and consumables warehouses for the plant.
- Recommend safety policies and ensure safety/legal controls are tested and reliable.
- Be responsible for the computer aided maintenance management system for the plant.
- Ensure the continuous development and coaching of maintenance & manufacturing engineering team.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering with a specialisation in mechanics and automation.
- At least 7 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience.
- Working knowledge of Quality systems.
- Health, Safety & Environment skills.
