Our client, a leading fresh produce and grocery retailer in Upington, operating within a modern and fast-paced supermarket environment, has an excellent career opportunity available for a dynamic, energetic and hands-on manager with strong operational abilities who can manage the store as if it were his/her own business and maintain a continuous focus on profitability, service delivery and growth: SUPERMARKET MANAGER (UPINGTON) The successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the overall management and profitable operation of a large supermarket employing more than 80 employees . Minimum Requirements: At least Grade 12 / Matric Minimum 5 10 years proven management experience in a senior management role within a supermarket or retail group Strong leadership and people management skills Good financial and administrative insight Ability to function under pressure and achieve targets Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Computer literacy and experience with retail systems Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English) Reliable, professional and results-driven Key Responsibilities: Full management and control of the stores daily operations Management of staff, discipline, productivity and performance Ensuring excellent customer service and customer experience Management of stock control, ordering and stock losses Monitoring sales, profitability and budgets Management of store standards, merchandising and cleanliness Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures Handling administration, reporting and operational control Driving sales and implementing strategic growth initiatives An extremely competitive remuneration package is offered according to qualifications, experience and proven success in a senior management role within the retail environment.
