About the Role
We are seeking an experienced E-Plan Designer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. As an E-Plan Designer, you will be responsible for assisting with electrical costing, developing control concepts and hardware selection for Automation systems, and preparing detailed electrical designs for customer presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical costing
- Development of control concepts and hardware selection for Automation systems based on RFQs and engineering principles
- Detail electrical design (PowerPoint/Visio) to be presented to customer for sign-off
- Prepare detail electrical manufacturing and site installation plan
- Pre commission and commissioning of equipment
- Documenting and generation of reports
- Site safety implementation while commissioning of plant
- Supervise and support an electrical project manufacture and installation team
- Standby and Callouts
- Planning and execution of project/s (electrical)
Requirements
- Minimum National Diploma Electrical / Mechatronics
- 5 Years experience in Automation
- E-Plan would be advantageous
- Electronic Systems & Electronic Troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of electrical processes and knowledge of South African standards i.e. SANS 10142 and international standards
- Project Management
- Quality Focus & Analyzing Information
- Good presentational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Intermediate MS Office proficiency
- Electronics Testing Design
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime
- Building good business relationship with customer related to service activities
