About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Workshop Foreman to join our team at Mototeam (Pty) Ltd in Helderberg, Western Cape. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring effective planning and management to drive profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and track labour sales and workshop profitability, ensuring effective workshop planning at all times
- Schedule workshop production based on staff availability and productivity
- Address escalated technical issues in the workshop as they arise
- Inspect all serviced vehicles and assist with parts ordering
- Maintain excellent housekeeping within the department
- Oversee the training of all service staff
- Provide feedback to workshop staff on individual performance relative to targets
- Monitor work in progress (WIP) on all vehicles in the workshop daily to maintain acceptable levels
- Manage financial and non-financial risks within the department
- Promote and drive personal and professional development
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored
Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Technician Qualification – Red Seal
- Volume brand experience
- A minimum of 2 years recent as a Workshop foreman with proven experience in a dealership is essential
- The aptitude and competency to manage a team effectively
- Diagnostic Ability/Skills
- Planning & Organising

- Leading & Managing Teams
- Following Instructions & Procedures
- Coping with Pressure & Setbacks
- Valid drivers license
- Clear Criminal Record
