About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources, Payroll and Finance Administrator to join our team at Group Technical Security Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, human resources management, and finance, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture, verify, and process all payroll inputs in Pastel Payroll (new appointments, terminations, benefits, overtime, and deductions).
- Validate and reconcile payroll data before monthly approval and ensure correct statutory and benefit deductions.
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns, including EMP201, EMP501, and IRP5s.
- Management of the general human resources function, including:
- Handling of disciplinary hearings, dismissals, and retrenchments
- Interaction and management of Unions and Union Representatives
- BBBEE compliance
- Assisting with annual salary reviews, bonus calculations, and metrics
- General admin: Assisting the Accountant with processing of supplier invoices, capturing of vehicle fuel expenses, and submitting company vehicle insurance claims.
Requirements
Minimum of NQF Level 5 – National Higher Certificate or Certificate in Human Resource Management, Payroll Administration, or a related discipline (Finance). Minimum of 4-5 years experience in Payroll Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/payroll data management systems, preferably Pastel Payroll and Accounting Software. Strong knowledge of South African payroll and tax legislation (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA, BCEA, POPIA).
