About the Role

The Material Engineer will provide excellence and compliance support for materials engineering and asset integrity activities under the Excellence & Compliance Department. The role ensures the reliability and compliance of critical materials, corrosion monitoring, and QA/QC practices across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct material integrity and corrosion assessments in line with company standards.
  • Provide technical support for materials selection, inspection, and maintenance activities.
  • Lead and participate in root-cause analyses (RCA) for material or equipment failures.
  • Monitor and interpret corrosion and degradation data to recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and engineering recommendations.
  • Support the implementation of asset integrity improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in materials engineering or QA/QC within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in corrosion monitoring, failure analysis, material selection, and testing.
  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence (OE) compliance, industry codes/standards, and inspection/testing methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical.
