Job Description

Department: Data & Analytics Reporting To: Procurement Manager Location: Summerset West, Western Cape Job Purpose: Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing operational, production, and business data to support decision-making, improve processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. The role blends industrial engineering principles with data analytics to drive optimisation initiatives across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Collect, clean, and interpret operational data from multiple systems. Develop dashboards and automated reports (Power BI/Tableau/Excel). Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, and performance tracking. Identify inefficiencies using statistical methods and data models. Conduct time & motion studies, workflow analysis, and capacity modelling. Use Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to improve processes. Recommend process enhancements backed by quantitative findings. Build forecasting models and support automation initiatives. Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs. Present data insights clearly to stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering (essential). Certification in Data Analytics / BI / SQL / Python (advantageous). 4 years in industrial engineering or data analytics. Technical Skills Power BI, Tableau, Excel (advanced). SQL, Python, R (advantageous). Lean tools, process mapping, value-stream mapping. Statistical analysis including regression and forecasting. ERP/MES systems such as SAP, Syspro, Oracle. Competencies Analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills. Project management ability. Continuous improvement mindset. Key Performance Indicators Accuracy and timeliness of reports. Impact of process improvements (cost reduction)

Department: Data & Analytics Reporting to: Procurement Manager Location: Somerset West, Western Cape About the Role We are looking for a detail‑driven Data Analyst with an Industrial Engineering background to transform operational, production, and business data into actionable insights. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, optimising processes, supporting strategic decision‑making, and driving cost‑saving initiatives across the organisation. You will combine data analytics expertise with industrial engineering methodologies to support continuous improvement, enhance operational performance, and ensure data-driven optimisation. Key Responsibilities Gather, validate, and interpret data from various operational systems. Create intuitive dashboards and automated reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel. Conduct trend, variance, and performance analyses to support business decisions. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies using statistical methods and modelling. Perform workflow studies, capacity analysis, and time & motion assessments. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles to support process optimisation. Provide data-backed recommendations to enhance processes and reduce waste. Build and maintain forecasting and predictive models. Collaborate closely with multiple business units to understand operational needs. Communicate insights clearly and effectively to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering (mandatory). Certifications in Data Analytics, BI tools, SQL, or Python are beneficial. Minimum 4 years experience in industrial engineering, data analytics, or a related optimisation environment. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel . Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is advantageous. Strong understanding of Lean methodologies, process mapping, and VSM . Skilled in statistical analysis, including regression and forecasting. Experience with ERP or MES platforms such as SAP, Syspro, or Oracle . Competencies Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking capabilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects. A natural drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Performance Indicators Accuracy, quality, and timeliness of reports and dashboards produced. Demonstrated impact of data-driven process improvements (efficiency gains, cost reductions).
