About the Role
A leading organization in the Mining sector is seeking a professional Financial Accountant to provide critical financial information to management through meticulous data analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze accounting data to provide accurate financial information to management.
- Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other comprehensive reports.
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Recommend financial actions by thoroughly analyzing various accounting options.
- Prepare assets, liabilities, and account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document all financial transactions and substantiate them by auditing supporting documents.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting necessary disbursements.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum B.Com Accounting Degree or B.Com Business Management.
- Systems: Proficiency in Syspro ERP is a MUST.
- Industry: Previous experience within the Mining industry is highly preferred.
- Experience: 25 years of proven experience in an accounting position.
- Skills: Advanced financial system training and strong Excel skills are essential.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Estimate: R400,000 – R600,000 CTC (Negotiable based on experience)
