About the Role
The Parts Manager will be responsible for supporting the Dealer Principal in maintaining effective internal department relationships, managing parts inventory, and achieving business targets. This role requires a proactive and confident individual with excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with other departments and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Dealer Principal in maintaining effective internal department relationships
- Manage work efficiently to achieve personal goals and objectives
- Build sound relationships with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain parts inventory levels to optimize economic stock levels
- Achieve agreed targets for parts, including budgeted turnover and profit margins
- Develop and implement action plans to drive business growth and improvement
- Liaise with the national distribution division and National Parts Manager to optimize dealer stock levels
- Visit customers as required to ensure excellent customer service
- Standby or work overtime as needed to support absent staff members or operational requirements
- Ensure all tasks performed comply with minimum standards required by the company
Requirements
- Matric or higher
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar managerial role in a similar industry
- Code 8 license
