About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Table View, South Africa. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our operational sites by implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and company standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Investigate workplace incidents and compile detailed reports
  • Facilitate safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
  • Support the implementation of digital and AI-enabled safety systems
  • Promote a strong safety culture across operational teams

Requirements

  • NOSA certification or equivalent health and safety qualification
  • Fluency in Afrikaans and English
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, engineering, scrap metal, or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong reporting, administration, and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to work with digital systems
