About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Managing Director for a senior leadership role within a luxury hospitality business based in Botswana. This rare opportunity allows a proven executive leader to take full ownership of a complex, multi-site operation within a remote and purpose-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full accountability for business performance, including P&L ownership and financial results
- Leading the strategic direction and execution of the business across multiple operational sites
- Driving sustainable growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
- Overseeing all aspects of hospitality operations, ensuring exceptional service standards
- Leading, developing, and inspiring senior leadership teams
- Ensuring strong alignment between commercial performance, guest experience, and brand integrity
- Managing complex operational challenges in remote and logistically demanding environments
- Embedding a values-led leadership culture across the organisation
- Strengthening stakeholder relationships across internal and external partners
- Ensuring high standards of compliance, governance, and operational discipline
- Driving long-term planning, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Proven experience in a Managing Director or equivalent senior executive role with full P&L responsibility
Strong commercial, financial, and strategic leadership capability
Experience leading multi-site or complex operational businesses, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or service-led industries
Track record of delivering business growth and operational excellence
Experience operating in emerging or remote markets advantageous
Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and manage senior teams
High emotional intelligence, integrity, and sound decision-making ability
Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)

Annual leave: 24 working days plus additional time off in lieu of Sundays and public holidays worked (up to 84 days total entitlement annually)
Work permit approval required prior to commencement of employment
Self-relocation required to Maun, Botswana
