About the Role
The Senior Network Administrator will play a critical role in keeping core systems secure, reliable, and scalable within our large, established IT environment supporting hundreds of internal users across multiple business units. This senior-level position offers real ownership, from designing and maintaining networks to ensuring business continuity across servers, cloud services, and security layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining enterprise networks (routing, switching, VPNs)
- Administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and permissions
- Supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Azure Active Directory)
- Ensuring network security, backups, disaster recovery, and uptime
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across servers and networks
- Contributing to continuous improvement, documentation, and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in IT administration / network administration
- Strong hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing protocols
- Solid experience with Windows Server (Server 2022 or similar)
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Azure AD) expertise
- Experience with network security, backups, and recovery planning
- Comfortable working with hardware, software, and VOIP environments
Qualifications
- Diploma in IT Systems Administration (NQF Level 4/5 or similar)
