About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Durban, responsible for managing financial operations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Assist with cost accounting and production cost tracking
- Support budgeting and financial analysis activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and system data
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Ensure accurate processing and reporting of financial transactions
- Support finance operations within a manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance operations
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Strong Excel skills (Microsoft Office proficient)
- SAP experience advantageous
- Experience in cost accounting (materials, labour, and overhead) within a manufacturing environment
