About the Role
A reputable luxury resort located in Pretoria, Gauteng, is seeking a dynamic and experienced couple to fill a live-in Housekeeping HOD & Stock Controller position. The ideal candidate will be a hospitality-focused couple who work well as a team and bring strong organisational, leadership, and operational skills to a resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner 1 – Housekeeping HOD:
‣ Schedule staff shifts and allocate daily duties
‣ Conduct room inspections to ensure cleanliness standards
‣ Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff
‣ Manage laundry operations and linen control
‣ Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
‣ Report maintenance issues and liaise with management
- Partner 2 – Stock Controller:
‣ Manage stock, supplies, and equipment
‣ Conduct regular stock takes and maintain inventory records
‣ Place orders and control departmental budgets
‣ Monitor losses, damages, and consumption levels
‣ Support daily housekeeping operations when required
‣ Maintain storerooms and supply areas in an orderly manner
‣ Assist with administrative and reporting duties
Requirements
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Previous hospitality or resort experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Hands-on approach and willingness to take initiative
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
