Cape Town City Centre: Facility Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facility Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance and repair activities across multiple sites, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining facilities records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day maintenance and repair activities across the Institute and other sites
  • Monitor the condition of facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across buildings and operational areas
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and inspections
  • Monitor maintenance stock, consumables, and procurement requirements
  • Assist with office moves, space planning, and facilities setup requirements
  • Maintain facilities records, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
  • Support audits, inspections, and operational compliance processes
  • Ensure landscaping, cleanliness, and general upkeep standards are maintained
  • Assist with emergency maintenance issues and operational support as required

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Relevant Facilities Management, Maintenance, or technical qualification advantageous
  • Minimum of 35 years experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or property management
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service providers
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements and building maintenance practices
  • Be highly organised and detail-orientated
  • Be proactive and able to work independently
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Valid Code 8 Drivers
