Cape Town City Centre: Cluster Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a driven retail professional to manage our six stores in Cape Town City Centre. As Cluster Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and leading high-performing teams across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance and ensure stores achieve turnover targets
  • Monitor daily sales and implement strategies to improve performance
  • Authorise discounts where necessary
  • Ensure teams are knowledgeable on products, promotions, and policies
  • Conduct regular operational and sales reviews with management
  • Manage staffing schedules according to peak trading periods
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop store teams
  • Conduct performance appraisals and manage KPI performance
  • Lead staff meetings and provide ongoing feedback and motivation
  • Handle minor disciplinary matters in line with company procedures
  • Facilitate onboarding and ongoing staff training initiatives
  • Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Stay informed on fashion trends, competitor activity, and retail trends
  • Oversee stock control, stock takes, and shrinkage management
  • Ensure all stock processes, returns, and transfers are completed accurately
  • Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards
  • Ensure daily cash-ups, reconciliations, and banking procedures are completed correctly
  • Manage housekeeping and overall store appearance

Requirements

  • Matric certificate
  • Tertiary retail management or commerce qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years retail management experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving turnover
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service environments
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
