About the Role
We are seeking a Nature Guide with a genuine passion for the smaller, often overlooked aspects of nature to join our team at a luxury boutique reserve in Hermanus. As a Nature Guide, you will be responsible for leading guided tours and sharing your knowledge of fynbos, birdlife, and marine ecosystems within our private protected biosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours for visitors, sharing knowledge of fynbos, birdlife, and marine ecosystems
- Develop and deliver educational programs on conservation and sustainability practices
- Collaborate with the reserve’s management team to develop and implement conservation initiatives
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, responding to their queries and needs
Requirements
- Experience & knowledge of OVERBERG Birdlife, Fynbos & plant life, Marine & ecosystems
- Physically fit & healthy with at least 5 years experience as a guide
- Minimum CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) / FGASA Nature Guide (NQF2) or higher qualification
- Up-to-date Registration with the National Department of Tourism (NDT)
- Valid South African drivers license WITH (PDP)
