About the Role
Unique Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Tax Administrator to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll tax calculations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate gross-to-net processing within country-specific frameworks. This role requires strong analytical and investigative skills, as well as excellent written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll tax calculations across multiple jurisdictions ensuring accurate gross-to-net processing within country-specific frameworks.
- Prepare and review monthly and annual payroll tax filings across relevant countries.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll tax discrepancies.
- Ensure the timely submission and payment of taxes and other related contributions to the country-specific Authorities.
- Conduct research through monitoring, and implement legislative updates across assigned jurisdictions.
- Liaise with local in-country stakeholders for query resolution.
- Support internal audits and compliance review to strengthen internal controls and mitigate global payroll tax risk.
Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
- Proven operational payroll and/or tax experience in multi-jurisdiction or cross-border environments.
- Direct ownership of payroll tax submissions.
- Strong understanding of compliance risk within international payroll structures.
