Job Description

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Production Manager to join their food manufacturing operation in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that budgeted production targets are achieved, production is effectively planned and managed, high product quality standards are maintained, and production staff are adequately supervised and developed.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage daily production activities to meet output and efficiency targets
Ensure production aligns with budgeted targets and operational objectives
Maintain and enforce high standards of product quality in line with FSSC requirements
Oversee and supervise production staff, ensuring optimal performance and compliance
Implement and monitor Health & Safety standards within the production environment
Identify production challenges and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
Monitor production processes, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and statutory regulations
Maintain accurate production records and reporting
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow

Requirements

Sound practical knowledge of FMCG manufacturing environments
Production Management Diploma or Degree (advantageous)
FSSC background and experience
Proven Health & Safety knowledge and experience
Strong people management and leadership skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent attention to detail with a results-driven mindset
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership skills
Valid Code 08 Drivers License and own transport (essential)
