About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations at a luxury private game reserve in Hoedspruit, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing preventative maintenance programmes, responding to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues, and managing maintenance staff and external contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all maintenance operations across the reserve, including lodges, staff accommodation, infrastructure, and equipment
Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues
Supervise and manage maintenance staff and external contractors
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Manage maintenance budgets, stock control, and procurement
Conduct regular inspections to maintain luxury standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role within a lodge, hotel, or luxury hospitality environment
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance
Experience working in a bush or remote location advantageous
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Valid drivers licence
