About the Role
As a Logistics Manager at Craven Cottage CC, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the movement of inbound and outbound raw materials and finished goods. You will also be in charge of negotiating contracts, rates, and routes with suppliers and shipping carriers to minimize costs. Additionally, you will oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, data analysis, compliance, team leadership, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and monitor the movement of inbound and outbound raw materials and finished goods.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and routes with suppliers and shipping carriers to minimize costs.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, optimize warehouse layouts, and oversee picking, packing, and shipping procedures.
- Analyse performance metrics to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure all transportation and storage activities comply with legal regulations, safety standards, and ISO requirements.
- Supervise logistics staff, establishing performance goals and providing training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- 5+ years of proven experience with refrigerated supply chains and 4×4 fleet management.
- Route optimization for remote delivery and fuel management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software (TMS/WMS), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
