About the Role
The Junior QC Manager will be responsible for overseeing routine testing and analysis of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), European Union (EU) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) standards. This role involves managing raw material sampling, quality control equipment maintenance, and maintaining records of faults and calibration.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine testing and analysis for the laboratory
- Produce standard 18F synthesis and other tracers in accordance with GMP
- Manage raw material sampling, testing, and release system
- Perform first-line maintenance of Quality Control equipment, including HPLC, Gas Chromatography, pH measurement, RTLC, and Gamma Spectrometer
- Maintain records of faults, maintenance, and calibration on any dysfunction or equipment
- Develop, implement, and manage cGMP, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance systems and procedures for standard tracers
- Manage QC raw material and consumables, formulate reagents for radiochemistry, and mix solvents for HPLC and other analyses
- Clean glassware and dispose of waste chemicals and materials
- Prepare updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary for approval by the Quality Assurance Pharmacist
Requirements
- 4-5 years of quality control experience required
- Managerial experience is advantageous
Qualifications
- BSc/B.Tech or similar degree
- Qualifications in radiopharmaceutical chemistry laboratory
- Experience in 18F FDG Quality Control
