About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a 120 roomed hotel with restaurant and conferencing facilities for up to 200 guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our kitchen, menu planning, and food production, while ensuring excellent service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen staff and ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Develop and implement menus for our restaurant and banqueting services
- Oversee storerooms and fridges, including stock ordering and taking
- Utilize Excel for effective stock control
- Maintain a high standard of food quality and presentation
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience as Executive Chef in 4* hotels with over 100 rooms
- Strong on a la carte (restaurant) and banqueting and function catering for up to 300 guests
- Good kitchen organisational skills
