Job Description

About the Role As Leisure Sales Executive, you will represent the hotel in the leisure travel market and actively grow business from key source markets. The role requires a relationship-driven sales professional who understands how travel trade partnerships contribute to occupancy, ADR, and long-term brand positioning. You will work closely with Reservations, Revenue Management, and Operations teams to ensure sales strategies translate into confirmed bookings and strong commercial performance. Key Responsibilities Leisure Sales & Business Development Develop and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners, retail travel agents, tour operators, DMCs, and leisure consortia partners – Identify and develop new leisure accounts across local, regional, and international source markets – Conduct sales calls (virtual and in-person) to generate new business opportunities – Conduct hotel site inspections for travel trade partners and clients – Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities Commercial Performance Respond to enquiries and prepare accurate quotations within agreed timelines – Support contract negotiations and commission structures with travel partners – Monitor performance indicators including occupancy, ADR, REVPAR, and cost of distribution – Work closely with Revenue Management to support pricing strategies and demand management – Identify opportunities to grow market share within the leisure segment Client Relationship Management Ensure travel partners receive up-to-date information on rates, promotions, packages, and hotel offerings – Maintain strong relationships with key travel trade partners and source markets – Analyse guest feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for growth – Support cross-sell and up-sell initiatives across hotel departments Requirements Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field – Minimum 2 years experience in hotel sales within a 4-star hotel environment – Strong understanding of leisure travel trade sales including tour operators, agents, and DMCs – Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills – Strong analytical and commercial awareness – Proficiency in hotel PMS systems, revenue platforms, and Microsoft Office – Fluent in English (additional languages are advantageous) Qualified candidates currently based in Mauritius and eligible to work locally are invited to apply
