About the Role
The Handyman – Interior Installation is a key member of our maintenance team responsible for ensuring the hospitality properties we manage provide a safe, functional, and aesthetically appealing environment for guests. This role involves performing general maintenance, minor repairs, and installation of interior furnishings, fixtures, and décor items.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and fittings (e.g., cabinets, wardrobes, beds, chairs, mirrors).
- Install décor elements, artwork, and functional interior accessories.
- Ensure proper handling and placement of materials to prevent damage.
- Conduct minor carpentry, painting, and finishing work as required.
- Repair and maintain interior fittings such as door handles, locks, and hinges.
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; technical/vocational training in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work is an advantage. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in interior installation, general maintenance, or handyman services, preferably in hospitality.
