About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial HR Manager to join our start-up business in Durbanville. As part of our luxury accommodation properties and farming/production operation, we are looking for someone who can build, shape, and influence the people function from the ground up. This is an opportunity to create structure, culture, and best practice within a growing and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR frameworks, policies, and procedures from inception
- Partner with leadership to align people strategy with business growth plans
- Establish a strong, values-driven culture across all divisions
- Drive end-to-end recruitment across luxury hospitality, farm, and production teams
- Build onboarding, training, and development structures from the ground up
- Support succession planning and retention strategies in a growing business
- Manage all IR processes and ensure compliance with South African labour legislation
- Provide guidance on disciplinary matters, grievances, and performance management
- Embed HR best practices across a multi-functional workforce
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 7 years experience in an HR Management role (57 years is not feasible)
- Experience within start-up, hospitality, agriculture, manufacturing, or multi-site environments is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications are required for this role.
