About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Durban, where you will be responsible for supporting the production of estimates and contracts for various construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to develop their skills and contribute to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of order of magnitude and elemental estimates
- Production of bills of quantities
- Contract management, including production of variation orders, cost reports, payment certificates
- Attendance of project meetings
- Chairing of meetings where required
- General office administration
- Liaison with design consulting team
- Liaison with client
- General and adhoc project reporting
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- National Diploma in Building BTech (Quantity Surveying) would be advantageous
- At least 2 years in a professional consulting office
- Good communication skills
- Effective time management to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
- Technical knowledge
